hi guys, I just wanted to know if anyone with an attempt in cs matched into medicine or pediatrics.I am done with step 1 ad 2 but have an attempt in cs. Well, it definitely has a bad affect on my application no doubt but did any one match with an attempt in cs... inputs will be highly appreciated.

your chances will depend on the rest of your CV. you can match but some programs will look at the extra attempt as a big negative thing and may not even call u for an interview while others will ignore it in the light of the rest of your CV so there is no uniform reaction and hence no short answer to your question !

CS is of lesser importance than CK or Step 1. Unless you walk into an interview stuttering and showing clear signs of English deficiency, no one was really ask you about it. Remember, the exam is designed to test your COMMUNICATION skills, not your clinical skills. The only hinderance it "might" have is that a lot of programs want you to be ECFMG certified, so they want to ask you about the CS in regards to that. But in terms of passing.failing, I dont think it makes a difference, unless you've failed 2 or 3 times.
