Hi.

If someone wants to change residency [either field or just the program], how does it work out? I know you gotta apply once again, within a few months of joining the current program. But, how does the travel for IVs etc occur during the hectic intern year? Also, is it realistic to expect LoRs from your current superiors [esp if you're not happy there]? Though for many IMGs, 1 year USCE would be invaluable, would they actually be able to produce LoRs to prove their commitment and experience within say 3 months of residency?

I have also heard of people making the jump from one prog to anopther, via contacts, without the cumbersome IVs that the Match involves. Is this the only realistic way of doing it?

Thanks for any input. Good day.
