hello everybody, i tried to figure out which nerve root is affected in different segments of the spine and got totally confused. any idea?

Can you be more specific like give us an exmaple. where and how you got confused.

Like there is one more thread where we have discussed the discs herniations and their effects.

sure. there's one topic that discusses this question, http://www.prep4usmle.com/forum/thread/28171/
there's one that says:
cervical spine - add 1 to spinal segments

- upper thoracic - add 2 to spinal segments

- lower thoracic - add 3 to spinal segments

- 10th thoracic - L1 and L2 segments

- 11th thoracic - L3 and L4

- 12th thoracic - L5

- first lumbar - Sacral and coccygeal segments.
is this correct?
