In Kaplan, Chlamydia conjunctivitis in newborns should be treated with TOPICAL + SYSTEMIC Erythromycin.. But.. In the Sanford Guide to Antimicrobial therapy it says that treatment is with Erythro syrup and NO topical tx is needed. so.. Which is is ?? Thanks !

oral, efficacity of topical with already oral is debatable i highly doubt if it would show up on a 2ck question like that, maybe peds/obgyn boards.

both is good. oral more important coz you cover the chlaymydia pneumonia that is bond to follow. no if option says a) topical b) oral go for oral if c) oral + topical - then that would be the best. its the leading cause of blindness and you dont want to gamble with that
