hi guys.. m a graduate of 2007 dec.. heres my plan..
planned date-- end of sept
goal-- 95+ (99 wil b a drm cm true)
now-- finished withmy 2nd read thru kaplan n videos.. plan to do it 3 times..
books-- all kaplan notes..
goljan RR for pathology
q banks-- only kaplan till yet..

im 4th Year medical student in Egypt and im interrested in preparing for the USMLE but i need some help here.
i need exactly more information as i don have much experience in that field

I do not remember the first time
the second time is a blur but I can remember some of it.
Just have to focus and review and answer correctly!

except for pathology : goljan RR 2nd edition & goljan video
Status : still in my 1st reading hope 2 finish it in 2 months
Qs: kaplan q bank + q book + UW + NBME to asses my studying
i've a Q 4 U GUYS ,i didnt study Anatomy yet but i found that most of u studying it from different sources especially histology & gross Anatomy so wat do u think of kaplan for anatomy & if i should changed
plz help me in that issue cos im gonna start studying Anatomy in 10 days & im still confused,thx guys

Ask your seniors where you can buy cheap books.
Remember you can always find most of the books that you need at Amazon dot com.

Kaplan DVDs are for all Step 1 subjects. Goljan audios are mainly for pathology.

Molecular biology (HY Molecular Biology 99 edition, Kaplan audio)
Genetics (Kaplan+audio)
Anatomy (audio Kplan for all)
- Gross anatomy (Kaplan)
- Histology (Kaplan)
- Neuroscience (Kaplan)
- Embryology (HY Embryology, Kaplan audio)
Physiology (Kaplan, BRS Phisology for some chapters, Kaplan audio)
Immunology (Kaplan+audio)
Microbiology (Clinical Microbiology MRS, Kaplan audio)
Pathology (Goljan audio + notes, RR latest edition )
Behavioral science (Kaplan+audio)
Pharmacology (do not know yet)
Need advice on:
Can someone give me their opinion in either Kaplan or HY for Gross Anatomy and Neuroscience?I did not start with either yet and I can use anyone's experience tha same for Pharmacology.
Which one do you think is better:Lippincott's Illustrated Reviews: Pharmacology, 4th Edition or Katzung and Trevor's Pharmacology?I have Kaplan 2005 edition but I think for pharma need something more up to date.
I'm at my first reading.Did about 60%.
Don't now the exam date yet.
Practice question to do while reading:
-Kaplan end of the chapters questions
-Kaplan Qbook
-FA
-FA cases
-Robbins Review of Pathology(some)
-thinking to get BRS Cases and Problems as well
I don't know which Qbank I would do, I will decide after feel comfortable with most subjects.
