No , Hypocalcemia causes tetanty by lowering the threshold of action potential and causing sodim to enter the cell easily abd generate an action potential more easily= causing tetany and may even lead to convulsion if conc. dec less than 4 mg/dl(norm 9.4 mg/dl0
