I thought this could be a good place for people to start researching opportunities etc, rather than head-scratching wondering where to begin. Good luck, guys!

This is a list of dedicated Pediatric Hospitals. Not all of them have attached Residency Progs. But, if you're looking for opportunities, this would be a good place to start.

Do you think we should normally contact with program director before applying?

i contacted PDs before applying only if I had any genuine query, usually regarding eligibility criteria....after applying if i had some contact whose reference i wanted to use at any institute/or new results came like my CS result came after my applications/or i got new LOR...only then i contacted the PD...it was in these letters that i would try to convey my level of interest or desire...trying not to sound too pushy...in case u have family close by mentioning it is a gd idea....programs like residents to have family close by for moral support....if seattle is the 'one and only' for u then maybe u should try to let them know, but better still communicate ur desire for an period of observership (even if they dont offer usually no harm asking)...serves all purposes...just an idea, things work differently for different ppl!!

Thank you for giving excellent advice. I will contact with them about observership. I should contact with the assistant of program director or program director himself/herself? For tikka, pm me if you want to contact with me.

mostly it depends on which email u have ready in hand...if u email both then mention that in each of the emails so that they know...and then if they dont reply, call them...it is a very difficult to get into place for IMGs as u will realise if u chek the list of resdients in last 3 yrs but all the best, hope u get what u want!
