Hey , u kn we have all those halal stores, groceries , restaurants every where here  , so moving back here  . If no one bother to open the store , b friended then invite them so , they will invite u too , so u will b getting varieties of same food , different home make taste , we used to do taht among community frineds here , till the major host move out of town 
Also we r soooooooooo busy , no time to cook own country style curries , spicy , soup vege , etc .
Yup I miss all street food 24/ 7 u can get too back home , WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY why so pricy the air fair is.
They said cause it is Far East  .
If u detour , connect flight at London or stop over from there usually cheaper than other route , used to b .
True , air fair cost is NON SENSE 
Ok , u r not alone miss country food & cannot affort air fair , worse is even I can buy the tickets , I will not get the day off fr here

There is a fisherman just in front of my house on the seawall, he is there like for 10 hours today under the strong sun ! The nearby pier is closed for repair, I never seen one so close to my house in 3 years what I live here. So whenever I pass by the window, I see him and feel like wrrrr....
He just drives me nuts, how can someone waste whole day just staring into the water !? I can see him right now next to my monitor, just standing and staring !!! Wasting the day like that ??? HE DRIVES ME MAD.

When you say "fisherman" does he fish for livelihood or just pastime.
I could spend hrs together staring at the water (of course, not under strong sun). The place I fish, its cool and amidst snow capped mountains. Fishing is so relaxing, and when it bites its so exhilarating reeling out the fish. Fishing is one of my favorite pastimes. Its not WASTING time, dear!!! Its MEDITATION

I live inside of military Army base, so every one is like family here, bc every one has to be military/ or military dependent , so no need to be aware, Praying4a99..... Dear bioguy, till today I considered a fishing as a kind of meditation, but this particular person proves different. He was there,at 9.00 am, whole day is like 90 Fahr. , the sun is beating like a hell, piercing through the clothes , no clouds on the sky, and this person is trying to start the conversation with anyone who is passing by. And if no one is around, just stares at the water. Now when the time is so precious to me, it seems like a waste to me, sitting and asking for the heat stroke . That is not a meditation to me.
Surely the nice mountain stream or lake is much calmer for relax! With the tent and bonfire, the smell of the trees,... I remember ,that is my home country !

Yup fishing is excellent mediation. And yes i used to go and sit on teh beach and usually talk to the waves wee early hrs in the morning, the best time to unload your mind unto the sea. But from what you are telling me He must be a Naval personnel who just misses his days at sea.

And I did not mention the boats, throwing cages into the water to catch crabs into them, each cage has a buoy, 3 years ago you could see one boat , and few buoys.... and now, in the mornings is like a racing, so many boats with loud engine noise and ocean is covered with colorful dots = buoys. I almost thought to call Greenpeace on them! No one is controlling it, no authority sees it? There are killing the earth .

Lol i remember the days when we in college we used to race to the sea like 4 in the morning 2hrs before dawn and then enter the sea for catching the best fish around. it was fun.

College was a heaven .I wish I could go back in time, or just skipped this time period and move forward quickly , aaaahhh, this mommy-student-or-doctor-armywife-foreigner confusion is getting on my nerves too. I wish my hub would not pamper me so much, I was such a disciplined person, too much love can be harmful too! My hub is spoiling me to much ! Rant here! .... how did I got from the fisherman to this????

GGGGGGGGGGGG , is still very cold here & u said 90' there
Where is the summer  , hope winter will not jump in 
I can watch the water while recalling my notes , here no water beach near by
Used to live at place where can see blue lake with all kind of small ships [ as my son call ]sailing
Like usual, GG ..........send those beach, water , wave , heat to here plllllllllllllllllllll
NNL .......... u make me miss my home city sitting at river bank , open to sea , is site for 3 .. 4 am early walking excercise then watching sun rise, fishing or passenger boats or after dinner relax walk & watching sun set at the port .

nnl, i agree, this is a great thread....just to able to say something w/o consequences...
hmm...my turn,....watched sex in the city n' it made me miss the college days, to have those friends that you can share your flaws with n' they love you even w/ all the blemishes n' imperfections....it's true, it's the friendships in college that last you a lifetime...
moving to a new place has magnified the difficulty in finding those type of friends again....single friends don't seem to understand "marriage" n' seem to be phases in life which you've passed through long time back n' married friends don't have the time to bother....obsessed with their children or in phases of life that you haven't experienced yet....the comfort is in having to be able to talk to those "golden" girls once in awhile even if they're across the world....

My pharmacology Final Exam is in Exactly 3 hours. I read the drugs about 30 times till now. I am fed up with them. I know what I know but what I do not know is just not sticking in there!! There is just no more use of reading anymore. I feel at the point where If I memorize anything else, old info will fall out of my hippocampus! What should I do? I have three hours to waste. I am having that empty vacuum hopeless yucky feeling right now.

Mundane doesn't stay in Memory. Any thing that doesn't stay in your memory is probably not different enough to register in your neuronal synapses. You already have one key to good memory - REPETITION. But one more thing that will greatly help in memory is to make mundane things look unique, I am sure you know this can be done with mnemonics.
For ex: spectrum of antibacterials
Drug A - Gram negative rods, Gram positive cocci
Drug B - Gram negative rods, Gram positive cocci, Few anaerobes
Drug C - Gram positive cocci, Most anaerobes
See how mundane the susceptible bug list is. These kinda things are tough to memorize. So to make them unique you have to create a mnemonic for each drug that can sound unique.
A-NR-PC
B-NR-PC-A (since NR and PC are common, it will be easy to remember like this -
B-(A:NR-PC)-A
you can get as creative as possible, no limits.
And finally, whenever you feel like the old info is fading away - JUST REVISE.
