Feel just plain burned out.  Too many errands accumulated  , once I postpone them, in the end they still catch on me, and it's just a time management mess. And the last 2 weeks were very unproductive study wise, hate it. Can I still learn how to manage the time and keep my mind cool, without loosing the balance ?

hey goodgirl, hang in there, that's the battle of life, to manage the time and keep cool, it's the secret to happiness 
it will be good, plan a schedule, and try to stick to it (i know it's hard, im one not to follow either, but we just have to do it) all other errands can be done later unless they are vitally important (i learned that thru trial and error as well) else thngs will fall into place, just hang in a little more, push a little harder, and get thru this difficult phase in life, it's only now, sure other hard times will come, but u can look back on this time and see that u were able to push thru it and succeed, and that's the best success we can have, to conquer our goals and push on thru the hard times!! good luck and keep on pluggin along, we're getting there...

Dear GG, Take a day off. Just do it. Don't try and pull along trying to run your engine on no gas. Just take a day off, see if you feel like finishing those chores on that day. If not, don't. Just recharge your batteries. Spend some time playing with the lil one, go out for a nice meal with the hub. You'll sleep better that night, and wake up better the next day, too.
You're not the type to grumble, I know you that much. So, if you're feeling burnt out, it's time for a break. It'll be good in the long run.

Thanks hottie99, and Paheli, today I'm like a lost soul. If someone is watching me from above these past 2 days, must think : poor goodgirl, she don't know what to do sooner. But it is done, all errands.
Paheli, did I mentioned I love Indian food . Can you believe , I have here a favorite Indian restaurant, we are like VIP treated there. But on Sunday, here in Virginia , we have an event TASTE OF INDIA ( http://tasteofindiahr.org/ ) with live music, dancing , ethnic food..... The whole local indian community , which is not small. ( I don't think I have seen more than 5 people from India together till today ! ) , so that will be kind a different for me. I'm possitive , I will think about all the great people I met here, from that part of world.

My best friend came over this evening, and it was so nice to meet her after ages. We spent the time yap-yap-yappety yap. And we celebrated by visiting my neighborhood bakery. And, now I'll justify that trip to myself by having just fruit for dinner. And, jogging tomorrow morning!
And, oh, for the record, I'm not ranting, I'm raving.

yes goodgirl i see that.. but his exam is super near, solving the mysteries of this form wont get us anywhere but misery, we shouldnt be bothered, instead be focusing on more positives, no??

Is this a rant/rave thread kinda like the one on craigslist? If so then:
This is to the person who stole my first successful plant!! How in the world can anyone steal a plant?! I don't get it! If anyone has to go to hell then it should be ppl like you who takes things uselessly! It's not like you're stealing from a convenience store to get money coz money is useful, Noooooo! You steal my plant just because it was growing yellow mini roses...
What kind of person lives knowing they stole a plant?!! What use is it to you? Is it even an expensive plant that you can't afford...noooo, it's costs 5 bucks at wal-mart! N' please, if u stole it just bcoz it was growing so many roses it's coz I used miracle-gro n' w/in 3 months the roses won't grow anymore coz the fertilizer would be used up n' then do u know what happens?! You have to use your own fertilizer n' put your work into it! so it it worth it to steal a plant to see 3 months of roses....hm...

yikes...this thread has become so long....I havent read it!!! Anyway, I have come here to rant too....as I am feeling very nervous today. I have been preping for a few weeks now and its really beginning to freak me out now!!! Who knows how I will be on the test day...what if I get nervous and blow the entire test...Its so scary!!! I try to keep up my confidence and positivity but who knows what will happen. All those who have taken this test are really brave people. I guess I will just try to sleep to calm my nerves.....

*LOL* myeloma....if u want u can steal 8 tubs of potting soil w/ so called tubrose bulbs in them....potted the tubroses in mid march n' I don't see any green yet! I spent over 30 bucks for the soil, tubrose bulbs, shipping costs n' what not...n now they won't grow
30 dollars doesn't sound that much but it's alot to me & my hubz...

if anyone wants a live Desi family drama, come to me...I'll tell you about my family...I guarantee, n' yes it's a guarantee you wll not believe your ears...blackmail, murder threats, backstabbing, psychiatric madness....all of it...n' u'd think I'd be some from mob's family....but no...in fact it would be so much easier if I told everyone I was from Al Capone's family or something....it would make it sound so much logical, but we're the conservative, honest earning type...*sigh*

toolazy2study!!!! i soooooooooooooo feel ur pain, tho we're just crazy desi family, but no murders or death threats (yet..) our family just can't seem ot keep their mouth shut when need be, well not really whole family just my father and his side, an dmy mothers side is like a bunch of mutes, so it's really crazy, imagine growing up in that!!!
now years later, it's all catching up to both sides.. one used to just be quiet while the other ranted like a mad man, not the 'quiet' party is not putting up with it, and the ranter is confused.. it's really just a hoot!! i just laugh quietly in my own head and pray to god i get this nonsense done so i cn work on my own and leave the madness, b.c as a desi girl, this is all i can do... i refuse to marry another crazy desi family with their bs, and then sit quietly and watch that, hehehe... so back to FA i go 
i used to say the same thing about my famiy, tho i think im to make a movie, b.c a book wont do it justice, hehehe.. perhaps we should make it a combined effort, since it wont make it look like an isolated incident, no?? good luc to ya!!

i went in for a carwash today. that place had two different operating slots - one to insert credit card and one for inserting coins, but only the coin slot had the control knob to select for rinse/brush/wax etc. i used my credit card, operated the control knob, and after rinsing my car i pushed stop on the control knob, and went on cleaning my car with the soap brush. when i wanted to rinse again, i saw that the credit card was being billed for all this time. just stopping the control knob was not enough, i was supposed to push a separate stop button on the credit card slot. So i ended up paying twice the amount of money.
then i realized i did the same mistake 6 months back. thats bound to happen if you wash your car once in 6 months
