Hi!! Im an IMG from latinamerica. Graduated these year. In my country you have to spend 1 year working in rural areas, so this year im planning to study for my step 1 as long as I do my rural work. Many things have happened in my life for making these decision, I mean for taking step 1. I had a boyfriend for 2 years, we passed through many things, then he decided to broke with me, and now he is going to get married with an old girlfriend. I feel so sad, I dont know how to explay the way I feel. I know that things that dont kill you make you stronger. And Im going to dedicate all my strenght to these exam. Because I know I can do it, Im intelligent, hard working and deserve to be happy. So Im decided to study with all my soul and heart.
Im planning to study for 6 months. First reading 2 months, Second reading 2 months as long as doing UWorld. Then Im going to evaluate how Im doing, and I if I need more time or not.
My prep Materials:
Physio: BRS
Patho: Rapid Review Goljan, golgan audios, BRS
Micro: made ridicul simple
Lippincotts for Pharm and Biochem
High yield for Anatomy, Embrio, Neuroanat, Inmuno, Behav Science
Kaplan Q book
UsmleWorld (after 1 read)
and of course First Aid

My plan for this week: rapid review histology and cell biology. Im startint right now. I want to buy first aid usmle Q and A. what do you think about this book? any comments?

Im ordering Usmle Q and A. I hope to find it useful.
About my prep: I started with histology and cell biology *rapid review. Im going to finish in about 2 days (thats the plan).
I try to focus and stop thinking about my old boyfriend. Its very hard, because when you make plans with someone when its over, there is the feeling that all the plans gone away with him. I know thats not true, that happiness doesnt depend from one person, its all in you. Well, thats enough!!! Im calm now and ready for studying. Good luck to all of you.
