I think you don't have to expose the chest in shoulder examination. You just have to lift up the sleeves and that should do it and may be just loosen the knot to check the SCJ and clavicle.

I agree, expose both shoulders, you have to compare the hurt one with the normal one and look for swelling, redness etc. my opinion, the pt might be sitting on the table. do not change his position. drape up to the laps, untie the gown, bring it down to expose both the shoulders. what do you say?

WE need 2expose both shoulders N CLAVICLE,so ask permission 2 untie the gown, take the SP's both arms off his gown, get his 2 shoulders exposed, n tie the gown behind at the chest level ,(just like our heroines in towel in movies :cool what say folks?

HIP-what i wud do is ,ask permission to untie gown, remove all the knots, expose entire spine,,just look at both the hips,,SPINE,then tenderness.then will ask the SP to lie down, will test 4 tenderness by pressing both hips 2gether, will then do ROM,MOTOR,SENSORY,REFLEXES,PULSES n SLRT if feel relevant.is dis fine.lemme know friends.
