A 12 years old boy brought to the physician because of a temperature of a 40.2C, lethargy and stiff neck for 2 day. a diagnosis of pneumococcal meningitis is made,and the chils is admitted to the hopital for antibiotic therapy..serum studies 24hours after admission shows: NA+ 117mEq/L CL- 89mEq/L HCO3- 125mEq/L which of the following is the most likely the explanation of these findings a)Excessive cortisol release b)Hyperaldosteronism c)inappropriate secretion of ADH d)increased production of leucotriens C4
