Hi Journal
Iam posting this to keep track my study ,no to loose the focus
Inspite of being sick, having a baby I have to do this
Inspired by so many journals over here,,
My Aim is to complete step 1 by the end of october 2008
Daiy I have to study atleast for 2-4 hrs
should keep posting minimum daily if not atleast weekly once

Good Luck with your prep. Try to keep focused. Hopefully step by step you'll get there. I'm planning on taking the exam in Sep.

hi prathima... im studying the same chapters... done till nocardia... are u watchin dvds? im not... u think the kaplan stuff is enough for the bacteria..? somhow im findin it bit loose... am also jus referring to my text from school...

not able to progress from staph strepto -no problem ,I can study today doing the revision of previous topics & study 3 more gram+ve bacteria while the baby sleeps
Hi DoctorDee,rightnow Iam not watching the Dvd's,I have studied most of the microbiology chapters- previously in the month of march -excepting-bacteriology,parasitology&last 3 chapters from Kaplan
may be you have gone ahead of bacteriology by this time

Hi Pratima. I know very well how u feel but i really appreciate your courage in multitasking esp. with a newborn. I have 2 kids of mine and i just feel exactly like u. In between the cooking and working(full time) 8 hrs a day, i can muster up only 3-4 hrs study a day. What keeps me going is that its all for a better life for me and the kids so keep pulling yourself together and go on. Im taking the part 1 on August 25th, Im a little ahead of u but guess lacking in audio- visual inputs. If you find something really tough pls post it here for all of us. Bye.

Hi prathima,
well come back, forget abt those 20 days...start this time but try not to stop for more than a day or so....this prep is like running...u hv to keep going while u r warm up...hv done that mistake of stopping for a long time myself... even if u hv to take a break, read just a little...FA is the best for those days..

,I would go for FA sure
going at a pace of 4 chapters per day for 2 days and hopefully continue in the future at least to a minimum with that pace
