Hello, everyone. I'm desperatelly needing advises here. Old IMG, PhD, research work since graduated, a small grant, just got a faculty position, feel that research is really painful and hopeless (hard to get fundings, etc). Should I go for the board? struggling!!!

never too late. if you are not enjoying research you should go for boards. i am doing Phd too. but not satisfied in just research. wanting more... i am preparing for boards.

but i wonder how you will manage your current job and the prep. i am struggling to manage my just meager phd and the prep

Thanks, bioboy. You're right, managing time for preparation is really hard. But, anything is possible as long as you tried hard and your best, you'll find a way to handle both. I'll give a try and see.

doornotdo , you are in better condition than me ( visa needed, no research experiences and maybe older than you) ... Yes,i am going for match , not sure next year or next next year . Just try to do my best and let the rest for God .
