Hi buddies, DOES O'SHIP (& LOR) WITH A PRIVATE PRACTITIONER IN USA CARRY ANY ADVANTAGE?? I know its not as good as O'ship in a teaching hospital. but I want to know whether it has any kind of benefit compared to doing nothing. Has any one of you have personal or indirect experience about this? All kind of ideas most welcome. (I know this Q is asked so many times before. But I could not find satisfactory answer to it so I am repeating it again. And perhaps by asking it again I may get to know ideas from some new members or from old members with new ideas)

Yes, better than nothing. A friend of mine got matched this year, he just shadowed two private practice physician once a week for one month or two. Anything you can find, go for that. You do learn a lot from it.
