Hi everyone,

I am looking for some encouragement and motivation. Took my ck about 1.5 years ago and now have scheduled step 3 for 2nd week of May. If I start studying seriously now, will I be prepared for the exam. Started studying only today. Anyone in a similar situation.

Hi Aspire,

I'm in the same boat too. I scheduled step 3 for mid/late May. I finished my first round of UW questions. Now I'm going over Step 2 and 3 Kaplan notes in addition to First Aid. Let's aim for a high 90s score. We can do it.

Also studying for Step 3 (but with a baby). Finished Kaplan Qbank, reviewing Step 2 Kaplan notes and doing questions from Cecil Review of internal medicine. Cecil is not exactly the format of the Step3, but at least there are around 150 questions per sub-specialty, which I can practice with. My problem with the Steps is not so much knowledge based. but rather MCQs answering technique. I still have not scheduled Step 3. I really need high score on it, since my other scores were mediocre, but I took the exams while working - so not much time for studying and practicing questions. At least now I am at home with the baby and have much more time as compared with before.
