the exam was alot like UW...with some questions thrown in from nbme ...
med ,paeds and pysch was heavily tested surg and obgy were few..
preventive measures.... hot favorite.. !!

the tricky questions were mostly from acid base balance, cancer screening, some step 1 like genetic diseases....and respiratory -ventilator questions..!!

How deep were does ventilators questions?
Or they were easy like autopip or weaning the patient or barotrauma or Giving the good fio2, ect?

thanx guys... i studied for 5 months and used UW as the main study tool. i read the kaplan notes maybe twice but didnt like it much tho... took all the NBME tests and that helpd me know where i was struggling and spent the last 10 days reading up those topics. Also i read boards and wards in the last week.. i think the book was good (better than FA) My nbme scores were predicting in the 95 to 98 percentile range...and with god's grace i did better than that on the actual test.. it just gives u a rough estimate if u r ready or not to take the test...!!
the vent questions were on weaning.. i apologise dont recollect the exact questions.. but its a topic u do need to look into...Also screening tests were highly tested
I cant advise on number of hours to read and stuff coz everyone has their pattern but its a doable exam and if u r doing okay on UW (mixed) tests ..like around 65 to 70 , i guess u r on the right track...
