hi guys , good luck for all who are preparing for the CS i have few questions about the eligibilty for the exam. is it mandatory to take step 1 before taking cs? and also i heared there is expiratory period for it ? what is tis exactly? thank you guys and i hope you clarify my confusion

hi doc_mhl! I can answer only one of ur qs. there'no such a requirement in order to be eligible for CS. you can take Step1, Step2CK, Step2CS in any order you'd like to. I'm sure about that, since I also had that question and sent an email to ecfmg to clarify..and that's what they replied. haven't read anything about expiratory period but i'll search for it. u could probably take a look at the ECFMG Information Booklet, it could answer many questions. good luck

kleovoulos thank you for your answer i ve read these information in FA i was shocked it also syas that cs has 2 years expiratory period if you dont apply for match in these 2 years you ve to retake it confusing thnx again

You have to pass all the steps in a period of 7 years form the date of the first one you've passed. The test that used to be valid for 2 years was the TOEFL, which is not even required anymore. maybe the First Aid you read is outdated.
