50. The 17-year-old boy shown in the photograph is brought to the physician after having a tonic-clonic seizure. Which of the following additional findings is most likely to be disclosed on detailed history-taking?

A) Episodes of hypomania
B) Episodes of severe depression
C) Family history of alcoholism
D) Special education beginning in first grade
E) Special education beginning in tenth grade

I do not have the slightest idea what this is? Help please

that is Tuberous Sclerosis A.K.A. Bournaville's Disease. 60-70% of the cases courses with mental retardation, so special education is needed.

nod Agree. Choice D. Tuberous sclerosis. These patients mostly present with sebaceous lesions on the face. They get seizures and are mentally retarded. They also get cardiac rhabdomyomas, have retinal and can have renal problems.
