How can investigator bias be avoided when selecting sample for a prospective controlled clical investigation?

there are different methods which you can use to select sample and prevent enbias:

RANDOM: In a population of 100 people, you want to have a sample of 10 people which represents the general populations, you then put them in a homogeneous group (Example, Black and white) and you select five of each group.

SYSTEMATIC: you select every 5th patient that comes in the clinic

CLUSTER: to select 100 students from the top universities, you look for the top 10 universities and select randomly 10 students.

hope this helps.
