Took my exam yesterday. Finally done!!!

I fnished the first block 10 minutes early. It was pretty straight forward. I was kinda worried b/c everyone kept telling me the stems were a page long and that the stems on world were too short. But for the most stems on the real exam were 4-5 lines as well.

A lot of the questions were similiar to UW. Most of the exam was internal medicine (as aspected). My 6th block felt like it was almost exclusively pediatrics. Milestones, vacinations, infections, conjugated/unconjugated bilirubinemias, etc,

I had quite a few questions on ethics dealing with the elderly. It wasn't stuff that was addressed in the books. Alot of it was more of a judgement call. And two of the choices would be very similiar. So instead of trying to pick the right answer, I was basically trying to pick between two evils.

OBGYN questions again were very straight forward. The basic algorithm I used to do UW questions applied to these questions. No real tricks, unlike the medicine questions

my main suggestion for everyone is to practise doing multiple blocks per day. I was doing 4 blocks per day up until the exam and even then I was tired by the end of the 6th block.

overall I felt it was a pretty fair exam. I guess I'll find out for sure in 3 weeks.

good luck to the rest of you grin

oh I forgot to mention the media clips .. I had two. One was for a PDA, and then other was Aortic stenosis. I didn't need the clip for either question, I got the answer from the stem.
