Kaplan Qbank USMLE

Hey all,

My exam is next week and something weird happens when I answer qs from kaplan qbank.

At the beginning, I try to analyze every detail of the question stem and generally think over it like 3 times and then put my answer. At the end I get a score of 64%

Then I get frustrated and do questions without thinking too much and put just the first thing that comes into my mind, and then I get a score around 80%

This is something I've never read before. Is it anxiety? overthinking?

Please give me some advice, my exam is next week and I'll probably be very anxious and triple-checking everything.

Thanks

PD: I've also been doing qs from nbme, usmle cd, and wikitestprep... and I found them much more easy. Is the real exam like those?

i've heard that kaplan q bank uses buzz words, so maybe that triggers some sort of recall with you...but i'm not sure. or maybe you over analyze the question when you do them carefully...i'm not sure though...hopefully someone else can give you other possibilities.

its completely natural.

whenever i would sit and read UW, and get worried that it's just so hard, and i am just so st upid, i would do horrible.

when i would reassure myself that i need to read between the liines, and it really is simple. its just decorated with a bunch of extra words and gimmicks to be hard- i would do great.

keep this up. it iwll help you on your exam, it tells you your first instinct is right
