question A: i think answer is 2, because Th cells secrete IL2 and it is reduced

questions B: i would say it is due to recirculation of lymphocytes. Because during infection there will be high expression of high endothelial venules which enhance the entry of T and B cells and lead to enlargement of lymph node during severe infection.
