1) you can try cipro-,but I was in Mexico and there really was no definitive antibiotic for the alias "Montezumas Revenge" 2)tetracycline derivative or chloramphenicol (thx for putting this disease back in the memory bank)

You are welcome mjl , :idea: Well to remind everyone that if tetracycline ,doxycycline,demeclocycline..etc given as choice , then the correct answer for RMSF would be doxycycline. Few more Q's : :idea: what is the antibiotic for cat bite fever , walking pneumonia ,pseudomonal infection , bacillus anthracis ,MRSA, VRE

walking pneumonia: erythromycin pseudomonal: ticarcillin MRSA:vancomycin VRE ANAEROBE: METRO b.anthrax: PnG OR Cipro. cat bite fever: amox+clavilunate.

VRE is vancomycin resistant enterococci ...and DOC for them is spectogramins( dalfoprustine etc) Matty you r right and in pseudomonas we can also use 3rd generation cephalosporins .
