I just searched MA medical board which gives limited license for trainees ( training licenses r called by different names in different states)

I just saw MA requirements.

Regarding H1 each program has different approach so better call the GME office of the concerned program, few programs pay the processing fee, most of the times we have to pay,

I will update wht all I know

Please let us share

Hey newyg give me ur number & I am in India now planning to get my visa stamping in Jamaica

I have many Qs regarding the h1b processing.. For instance we should have a "limited permit".. how do we get that???

  #3

The Program requests it for you, it is called Temporary postgraduate training.

  #4

NTP, would you be a little clearer on that? My program immigration service sent me a h1b request form and there is a list of required documents to submit with the completed form. One of those documents is "a copy of limited permit". What exactly is this?

NTP, are you also going for h1b?

I am going for H1b.
Besides all the documents required in the H1B1 request, I had to send a different permit "Temporary Postgraduate Training form", that is all I know... besides all the different things like CV, publications, medical diploma and transcript, etcetera.

Does anyone have any idea on how long it takes for the H1B visa processing time?my lawyer sent my applications through in March and I,m still waiting for approval.

I,m wondering whether or not to pay for premium processing(which is another $1000)?

Also-I just wanted to confirm that my understanding of the H1B visa is that residents cannot enter the USA more than 10 days prior to the start date for the job?

pay for premium processing $1000. Might turn out to be a huge mistake, if u dont.

Emekai, Mrbean is right, you better premium process your h1b request otherwise it may take "several months". With premium, they have to come up with approval or denial in 15 days.

And you are right about the max 10 day before entrance to US which SUCKS!!! I have to do my orientations, health exams, drug tests and even worse find a house in NYC in just 10 days! Thats impossible!

Do you guys any idea if I can use my American touristic visa(B1-B2) to enter before this 10 day period?? I am not sure whether I'll be able to keep my b1b2 visa when h1b is stamped, maybe the consolate will take out the b1b2?? Any ideas??

Hey NewYg

I too have same problem

Some ppl say we can not enter US on B1/B2 once H1 visa is approved ( not mean stamping on the passport)

and I m trying to clarify this issue

  #10

True, you can't Enter the US on one type of Visa and you have the other approved

Thanks for your feedback mr bean and newyg

Thanks a lot Cupid and MadMad, I really wonder if there is ANY WAY that I can enter US before June 20th? Any tricks??

And another issue is that I'm applying for NYU housing and I suppose to put in a max rent that I can pay monthly. Do you guys any idea whats the percent of taxes, fees etc that is dropped off our pay check with H1b status??? Any info appreciated...
