actually arizona you're soooooo true, lot of times we do exactly the same thing that we complain about and we never notice and we never admit ....., may be it's all about us not only the people we're dealing with, may be we're discriminating and progecting it into others I think its better never to think about what will people think about you and just be yourself as NNL said and then you'll find that the surrounding people will trat you as you deserve what ever that is.

to justice , i clearly said in my question , that my aim is [ education ] .... so all my intentions in my stay in USA is to get more education , and of course by the human nature i will integrate with the US culture , but not losing my identity ... flexibility doesn't mean to forget what i always believed in . for example , if an American female wants to come to Egypt to study or make research about ancient Egyptians history , would she wear a scarf to integrate !! of course no , any human love to be liked the way he is . so the question is , can i integrate without losing identity ??? i think the answer is yes ......but with the prejudgments i think it would be a hard task indeed . and i don't blame any American who is afraid of Arab , as if a series of attacks committed in Egypt by a people from a certain country , we would be afraid of any person from this country ,it's prejudgment from me to be afraid by who can blame me , but if this person prove to be different , he's welcome...! btw justice i like your posts the most .

Bottom line just be yourself.I'm a muslim woman and i wear the head scarf and i'm proud of my heritage but i also appreciate and respect everyones culture in this melting pot called America with so many different cultures. Being who i am hasn't changed what i want to do in the US.Inshallah I am going to persue my dream to the fullest. All the best to everyone.
