My Credentials:

Step 1--76--Passed on 6th attempt
Step 2Ck--76---Passed on 3rd attempt
Step 2 CS---Passed on 1st attempt
Step 3--Have not taken
USCE--2 years of Clinical rotations done in United States (4 LORS)
US Citizen

IMG graduate--2005 ( 2 years basic science outside of USA & 2 years Clinical rotations in USA)

My score my reflect otherwise BUT I am not incompetent: grin

I have always performed well in school --belonged to National & French Honor Society...Top 5 in graduating class. Graduated Magna cum laude (High Honors) from college in 3 Honor Society and honor society--with members like Al gore and Hillary Clinton....USA Today Award Nominee....etc Etc....you get my point....that I have always performed well including in medical school exams

USMLE was a different story-----shaking head (during rotations in United States had to take exams for each rotation...always performed well on them (board questions)---Ironically the docs would comment you probably have no problems with standardized tests!!

Not a good standardized test taker + rushed to take the exam (when I should of waited---because not ready + family problem)---But really hard to explain that ...without sounding as an excuse

I need your advice....if you can email at lexmatch@yahoo.com or post your comments here

Any advice on how to improve my chances of getting a residency would be greatly appreciated.....Thanx for your time nodnod

Try to find a residency position in the institution/hospital where you had done your rotations... They know you for sure...
