Congrats to all who matched and good luck to future applicants.

Please share how everyone is preparing for residency, i.e. books, pocket books, manuals, etc and anything else than can help.

I spoke to one of the residents at my program. he told me to start prep for Step 3. His advice was that even if I dont take it by the start of my program, at least go through the material. it will be VERY helpful during residency.

So for now.........I have started reviewing Kaplan books for Step 3.

Anyone using a different source ?

is harrison's principles of internal medicine also the official txtbook for IM residency? im plnning to buy the 17th edition. any other recommended books?

Thanks guys,
Right now, I am also starting to prep for step 3, even though I may not appear for the exam before I start. I will talk to the chief resident next week and will post what I learn.

I agree. Studying for ccs is very nice and give us a sense of security for beggining the residency.

Same here... except i have started with First aid step 3
