Change my mind is B cause it's more accurate than rapid test for strepto and you will only give penicillin if strepto + and erythromycin if allergic

can we not just give penicillin.. is it necessary to do a thrat culture?? is it documented some where..??

i did my nbme today and i choosed the option D
she is a school going child !
it could be mycoplasma? also what is the emperic treatment of Out patient resp. tract infections?

***Rule: ALL negative Rapid Strep Tests should be backed up with Throat Culture (the gold standard)

ok great ! i googled the net, and the next best thing should be throat culture and drvirgo is right when ever strep test is neg the next best thing is go for throat culture
