What is the most common location of osteomyelitis in adults?

robbins says "any area of the bone may be involved in adults"

UW: "the vertebral body is the most common location for hematogenous osteomyelitis in the adult"...

as far as i remember
for kids it's metaphysis
for adult it's vertebra
both explained by vascular supply (since hematogenous spread)
