I got 259/99..so I suppose it's good .......I feel so enthusiastic!......but I do not want to be overly reassured beause I still have a long long way to go...step2 ck, cs, interviews....really long way..

Thank you everybody! I really wish you the best!...and do not think that this is impossible to get a score like that...I used to believe so until today!

To Ali 200736: I studied for about 6.5 months..maybe I've exaggerated but I used to study for 10 hours a day and even 13h during the last 2 months..but I tried to follow a less tiring schedule in my last few weeks.
Let me think....PATHOLOGY-BRS,
PHYSIOLOGY-BRS,
PHARM, BIOCHEMISTRY-LIPPINCOTT ILLUSTRATED REVIEWS,
GROSS ANATOMY, NEUROANATOMY, EMBRYOLOGY-HIGH YIELD
BEHAVIORAL- HIGH YILD + UCV
MICROBIOLOGY- MADE RIDICULOUSLY SIMPLE
....and of course FIRST AID.
I did what almost everybody does, studying these books, and either simultaneously or after finishing each, I reviewed the coresponding chapter of FA..and of course writing down additional notes I considered important.
emmm...what else....
ah, I got a 1-month subscription to UW( my last month, when I only studied FA and did questions) Unfortunately I didn't have time to complete UW( about 50% of Qs) but it was a great practice material! I always chose timed option in order to practice my speed. I recommend it!!
Last but not least, one of my most important instructions: try not to burn out! when I felt I could not stand studying any more I just closed my books and took a break...going for a walk or coffee with friends. It can be very rejuvinating!

i m doing uworld these days.n i m getting 50% in blocks of 50 qs .my exam is on 15 th may .wat shuld b my strategy in the next month in order to increase my score .

Well, I don't feel like being a usmle expert but I will try to tell you what impression I got during my UW practice.
First of all, stay calm!..it's very important to realise that you have enough time to improve your score...and also that UW scores do not reflect the score you're gonna get. As far as I have heard, if you finally reach a level of 60% or more, you're more than ok..but I would suggest you not being stuck on the scores;they can make you feel very stressed sometimes! just use uw as a learning tool and try to read the answers carefully but not trying to memorizing everything..only as much as you need in order to understand what your mistake was and why. if you get short of time just read the ''objective'' paragraph. I really believe that if you keep studying in this way and combine the Qs and answers with First Aid, you will do great! this was my method, anyway. I'd like to tell you that during my uw practice I improved my score of uw even by 15 percent units within some days!..which means that it's a matter of getting to understand the philosophy of the Qs,as well.
