hi everyone. i applied to peds and matched this year. one of my friends is doing his anesthesia residency and will finish in a few months... he wants to take the usmle and train in the usa. can anyone tell me a bit more about his possibilities. more specifically
can he take up direct fellowships (how difficult, say compared to anesthesia residency, what are the must have things to get a fellowship)
can he get in to a 3 year residency right away ? (how difficult?)
or he will have to do 1 year prelim and than apply for anesthesia the year after that? or apply for prelim and categorical both at the same time and related possibilities !
