I live in Kirkland , mostly i study for step 1 in UWMC library

Hi ! Im a IMG. I have secured an observership/elective at a hospital at seattle. I NEED malpractice insurance for my period of observership there.The few companies i spoke to in seattle say they dont cover students.If you know of any company which provides malpractice coverage to international students doing electives/observership ....please let me know ASAP. I need to send in my documents with the insurance note. Many thanks. saurabh.

Congradulations for getting observership in here...can you give us some ideas how to find one ? Im literally looking for one 
No idea about malpractise insurance ,sorry :roll:

Well i would be able to give you those step 1 Cd's after my exam,since im very very busy ,have to take step 2 in 30 days,i won't be able to come to UW library .

Hi guys,
Its nice to see so many people preparing for USMLE in Redmond/Kirkland/Seattle.I saw the forum just now.I live in Redmond too.Is There anybody yet to take step 1?I plan to take it in feb,'05.My maild is jedibacca@yahoo.com
I also have a couple of questions-Those of you who got an observership-what visas are you on?can one do observershipwith a dependent visa?Or do I have to wait till I get my work permit?

Wow so many of us in seattle.
Good to know that many of us lives in Redmond ,near microsoft .
Lets make a support team..named one target i.e residency .
Though iam done with all steps ,i would love to help out others who need help .

I've just found this topic. Great to know there are a lot of people in this situation.
For those who got an observership: How did you get it? Should I talk to the department I'm going for? How did the malpratice insurance turn out?
