shocked
I want to ask about the difference between lymphoma and lympocytic leukemia.

The following terminologies are very confusing, can any one define them and explain a little the difference?

Lymphoproliferative Disorders
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia
Hairy cell leukemia
Multiple Myeloma
Lymphoma

What are the cell lineage of these malignancies? From stem cell? or from mature cell?

And lymphoma can be extranodal, what if there is extranodal lymphoma in bone marrow, how is it different from a lymphocytic leukemia?

Thanks a lot! =)

get goljan RR and enjoy reading the answers to these questions.

i don't think anyone will be able to answer you comprehensively--these topics are vast and can't be explained in few lines.

If bone marrow has more than 30% blasts it is assumed that it is primary bone marrow malignancy and called as Leukemia. (Applies to Acute lukemia)
