Hi simon73, you are getting there. I'll bet that you will see big improvement soon!

  #203

Simon, 80s- 50s-- thats a big range there. Please give it your all when you do questions. Make every block, every single question count like your future depends on it. There cannot be silly mistakes. To know a topic and make a silly mistake is like thrwoing away your money in the trash. Take it to the bank! Make it count!

Ask why you have made a mistake? Do you have enough time to review all questions in every block? You had mentioned earlier that time was a problem.

Average out your scores every day in Kaplan and post it here if you dont mind. It may be small to begin with, but with time, you will master the topics, the techniques and hopefully get your overall final average over 75 in kaplan q bank.

You seem to be right on track. Keep working. It is going to be intense. Give it your all. You have lots of friends rooting for you!

  #204

Could you please post your study plan till NBME 2?

  #205

keep at it simon!!!!!!!

Thank you target, commit, veteran and usmlekiller.

Yesterday was a very busy day at work, got home late and was so tired. Went to bed early and didnt accomplish as planned. Yesterday's average on micro q's was only 54%, need to work on it. Learning new concepts, I wish i new it earlier to score better percentage. I have ways to go before i could hit over 70% in Kaplan! Which is my goal/wish.

Veteran, I will post my timetable until my 2nd NBME later today.

  #207

hello simon, i read your last few posts, and i felt sorry that the nbme score made you feel down. that was my score on test, real failing on the test is worse, i know that kind of score will make anyone very sad! So, i hope you find your problem. I know i also lack motivation. If you didnt do well in patho on nbme, focus on that more, because patho is the bulkiest, and in that case i would take commit's advice of listening Goljan, i hope Goljans audio will help me also to get where i want to be. But, considering all you are doing, a full time job, you are really working hard buddy, you will be there, just believe in yourself and keep working, and take the test when you are ready! All the best!

Simon, there will be good days and bad days till the day of exam. Please relax guilt free on the days that you are stressed and not able to give much time to study. Take care of yourself and that way, on a good day, you can likely do even more than you hoped for. I agree with antidepressant- you are working hard and when you do that, you will surely progress and reap the benefits of your investments.

Hi simon, good plan.......so you are going system wise - is this your 2nd revision or 3rd.........was your first subject wise? I could tug along with you on a few systems if you like maybe from 21st onwards.

You could delete your posts by clicking on the edit button.

Hi simon73, wish you have a good productive weekend.

  #219

Thank you target, commit and goodgirl for your post. Hope all of you have productive weekend too.

Hi target, I am a little computer challenged, I tried deleting the repeat posts and was unsucessful. It would be great if you could tug along starting this monday. I plan to review genetics. I would say this is my wish list/plan, as sometimes i fall behind on my plans.

This is my 2nd revision sincerely i would say. My first read (subject-wise) was very very long drawn (6 months) and was not that productive as i have several breaks and i forgot many things when i revised it for the first time system-wise in May-June.

Happy studying everyone.

Forgot to update - completed a block of q's in immuno yesterday and scored 64%. Kaplan questions are definitely much easier than UW.
