I took my step 3 on the 16th and 19th of february in Chicago in a rush as I am on H1b visa and I needed to pass step 3 ASAP. I took my step2ck two years ago and was on a full time job. Preparation was around 1 month during which I could take 10 days off. I read 1st aid for step 3 and then 2/3 of usmle world questions( 50-60)%. I just wanted to pass and was not looking for high scores. I had a step 3 trial exam a week before my real exam which gave me an idea of how hard this can be. I was under intense time pressure with mcqs but finished all ccs fast. The real exam was comparable to the trial. I knew if I would pass it it would be a marginal one. I got my score yesterday and I am happy that I passed 195/80. With this crappy preparation do not expect to score high. If you have enough time concentrate on family medicine, ethics and obstetric care. Maybe I am wrong but I had lots of questions from these topics. If you practice with the CCS software there is not a lot to worry about. Just try to concentrate and finalize each question as you will probably do not have time to return and read again MCQs.

Thanks. A few months ago I recieved an email from NBME indicating they are looking for some FMGs to take part in a step 3 trial exam. I applied for it and I was chosen to participate .
