Hey guys good luck on the match and the scramble..
question on ECFMG status report on my eras.. just recently passed Step 2 CK and my ECFMG certificate was sent the very same day. So I looked on my eras profile and tracked my applications.
was interesting because the programs that rejected me, downloaded my ecfmg status report but that was it. But, the other programs that i either heard nothing from or put me on hold downloaded my stuff but in bold black print stated that it was retrieved and replaced the file before. So what does this mean? i was smart about my selection of programs and choose predominantly programs that didn't have cut offs or consistently participated in the scramble for the past couple of years. So just wondering if they would consider me for the scramble since i already applied to there program.
let me know if any of you got your ecfmg certificate late in the game and how that affected the programs you applied to. I can't contact any of the programs coz it would be a violation at this point.

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question and in return I have a question for you !
I want to apply for the next match , still have Step 1 to re-take . I wanted to ask where did you get your information about which programs participated in the scramble the previous years ? I have one failed attempt and was thinking of applying like that too , but where can I get such a list of programs from ?

You can obtain the list at infoimg, I guess they are pretty accurate since I didn't receive that many rejections. as far as unfilled lists. just google it or go to student doctor forum.net, usmleforum or many more.
1 attempt is NOTHING. just do well on subsequent attempts! good luck! anymore questions just ask.

I think the programs have this automated download function, and that is why in your eras it shows like they downloaded it. I am not sure if anybody actually checked the new files ( I can tell you that is the case for fellowship)
But I see no reason for you not to be considered for the scramble... so be prepared!

How many programs did you apply to vs . how many interviews you had ?
