Hi,
I am a foreign medical grad. participating in the fifthpathway internship program. If all goes as planned I will start my residency this June given that I get MATCHED or Scramble. I have never really been a good test taker and didn't do so hot on the step1 and step2ck.....I have started studying for the step 3 because i would like to take it either in June before I start my residency or during the beginning of my residency and get it out of the way.
As of now I have read the FA and Crush for the step 3. I am not sure if this is enough for the first part of the exam. Some residents used these books while others have told me they didn't help at all. Swansons FP book has been mentioned but it seems a little bulky (834pgs) and others have said Kaplan step 3 notes which I have but they are 2004 books.
I was going to supplement this with UW and Kaplan Qbank for the step 3. I also was told that for the CCS portion of the exam...the FA, usmle cd, and that there is another cd (forgot the guys name) that is interactive and is what people use.
I welcome any comments or suggestions....I would really appreciate it as I would really like to pass this exam on the first try to get it out of the way.
