Google it: ACLS, Minnesota - even add the city. Search the American Heart Association.

Not really, most programs will still require that you complete a recert course just prior to residency.

I'm not sure .Do you think BLS is a prerequisite or not ? From what I have understood is that BLS etc is given during the orientation week of the residency Program. Please correct me if I'm wrong.Thank you

what i know (or think that i know ) is that duting orientation ACLS (adults) or PALS (peds) courses will be given, and BLS is a prerequisite for it.... CPR/BLS certificate can be obtained at the end of ~4 hours course @AHA-affiliated place in any state (go on the AHA web site and get a location).

Do it only if you have the extra money. Like bbb said - almost every program offers those classes before residency for free! If you take them now you'll have to pay out of your pocket and they are not cheap. It really does not mean much on your CV...

before you make an assumption, contact the program.... as it was in my case (and people i know), BLS is on me/us and it's a must before i step inside the hospital for orientation, where they will give me a PALS course.... (in adults it's ACLS) but i have to present my BLS card first.... ask your program about their policy before you make any decision
