hey guys!!
can u tell me when do we have to tell the programs if we need a visa? is it during applications or during interviews?

You gotta check with programs individually if they sponsor visas before applying. If they do sponsor then it maybe J1, H1 or both.
You can mark what type of visa you require on your ERAS application and this will be sent to all the programs you've applied to.
