hi all. thanks to this forum and all my well wishers support, i have scored 231/95. its almost same as step 1 231/96....anyways, i have a full time job in research and I prepared for 3 months. And today finally my hard work has paid off.,I am so excited.........

My exam was on Feb 9th. and I got my result after 3 weeks....I was so tense after exam, for first 2-3 days after exam i thought i am going to fail this one, and after that i just stopped thinking about it. still i was really tense inside. Now i can feel the relief! smiling face

Anyways, my exam was the usual account of 9 hours. i was really tense in first block, still it was ok. I did 2 blocks and then took a break for 5 min. Again I did 2 blocks, then 15 min break. Again two blocks and 15 min break and then 5 min break after each block. Question stem length was average, more like UW and difficulty level was close to form 2 of NBME. My 3rd and 4th blocks were tough. after doing them I was so much discouraged, I wanted to cry. but instead I decided to take my lunch, so that i get some time to recover from that. all other block were pretty much ok. I got two media questions. both heart murmur and eventhough i am not good at it, i tried to answer them as honestly as i can. ( i had enough time in those blocks, so i could listen the murmurs patiently.) I guess time management is the key. According to me, u should have at least 5 minutes left when u r done with the block as there r many questions which r difficult and u need to review them, or things like murmur can take ur time. so practice a lot.

Subject distribbution was IM most of them, then OG, pedia, psych and then surgery. Ethics question were pretty straightforward.

I used Kaplan books and UW, also I reviewed Boards and wards for electrolyte and dermat , opthal and radio.

I would give all the credit of my success to God, My hubby and my boss.......they have supported me a lot through my prep and of course, my parents blessings r always there to guide me. Also I would say, this forum was th emost helpful tool to guide me through all ups and downs of my journey, so i feel obliged to give something back. I will be glad to help anyone with questions regarding step 2 ck....Don't hesitate to PM me if u want.

Thanks.
