Is this statement correct?

"

An S3 heart sound may be heard when there is rapid diastolic ventricular filling with a large volume of blood( as in ventricular volume overload) and/or when there is reduced ventricular compliance (diastolic dysfunction). "

because according to Goljan, S3 is volume overload problem related and S4 occur due to problem with compliance of filling.

Usually S3 is due to the blood entering a volume overloaded left or right ventricle.

S4 is due to increased resistance to ventricular filling(decreased compliance).
