Tough one to call. He has a metabolic alkalosis, BUT I think distal H+ secretion will be increased, since this is an aldosterone mediated function and aldosterone is definitely increased.

I agree with idiopathic that the answer is E. This phenomenon is paradoxical aciduria. Similar situation, though more extreme with pyloric stenosis. http://bms.brown.edu/pedisurg/Brown/Handbook/Flui...
