Hi Everyone,

I was late with my Step 2 to apply for the 2008 Match. However, I should be all ready to start residency by July 2008.

I read somewhere that the odds of getting a spot during the scramble are 4 to 5 times worse than during the match, and so I am not really counting on getting a spot then (although I will obviously try).

A friend who is in residency told me that some pgy1 spots open "off cycle" as residents drop out or have visa problems and that it may be more likely that I will get a spot then, instead of during the madness of scramble.

By talking to friends and searching the forums, i found 2 sources of post-scramble openings, Resident Swap and Findaresident. Does anyone here have good/bad experiences with either of these? The SDN moderator says that Resident Swap is the largest database of openings, but I wanted to get other opinions before I sign up.
