Hey Guys,
just wanted to say I got my visa. It was pretty simple and straight forward. For the documents required follow Priyagrove's advice given in the Visa Faq thread.
for me they just checked a couple of documents...
One doubt tho: My visa says it is for 1 entry issued on march 31. expires on sep 29. Does this mean i have to be back in India by Sep 29? or does it mean I have to be in US by Sep 29? I thought the period of stay in US is decided by the Immigration officer in the Airport. Kindly clarify

Hi,
Congrats !!
i guess its a single entry 6 mnth visa, it means that u can enter US only time between 31st march and 29th sept as per this visa. and u can go there anytime from the date of issuance. but how long u can actually stay there depends on the stay permit issued by the Immig Officer. I heard, that date can be less or more than the expiry date of visa, which means, if they allow u to stay till 29th or less,u have to come back by that date. and if they allow u a date after 29th, u get the opportunity to extend your visa, after ur visa expires.
other members please correct me if i am wrong.
