did 150 questions yesterday... only problem i see is that i don't have time for anything else.... was planning on reading FA while doing questions, but no time..... guess i need to step it up some more..... my problem is that it takes me soooo long to read the explanations to the questions.... i've read a lot of people having this problem so makes me feel better i'm not the only one, so, ok then, ........ to study!!!

hi dear,if you are doing unused questions 100 qs with explanations is good.... don't over stress yourself.... i used to do 100 qs in a day and if i tried more,i found me doing stupid mistakes as after 100 qs i would be so exhausted.... i think you are doing great.

thanks for the vote of confidence SOS.... yep they're unused, timed questions.... you're right, if i rush too much, i won't remember or understand what it is i'm reading.... so yesterday i also did 100 questions, didn't go over all the explanations b/c i decided that yesterday was the day i was going to get rid of old papers and essentially "crap" that i had in my room and around my desk... that took me about half a day, then i was exhausted and didn't finish studying..... so this morning am finishing my explanations and have read a couple pages in FA to supplement some of the explanations..... so although i'm going slowly its a good thing, i think, b/c it helps to remember this stuff.... so back to studies....

Everybody has deal with anxiety...look for your favorite defence mechanism I am on my second try too, so I am in the same skin like you. Just keep it going. Some day you do more, some day less. It is normal. Depends on tonn of different reasons... Just don't study forever. Overstudying is not good and it is impossible to know everything. Wish you have a good weekend (study or whatever you plan).

hey girl, glad to see u stopped in my wonderful step 1 experience, hehehee.. but urs will be better ur doing a solid, solid job of covering all bases, but i do agree not to drag it out too long bc then u have to re-review everything and that makes for a huge start over, i know it's cumulative knowledge, like everytime u review it u are retaining more, but at the same time, there is that short term knowledge they like to ask, take the nbme, see where u are, that is ur best bet.. and then yah just pick a date and go with it, u will do great, u know wat to expect since u've done before (as did i, but damn they luv that molecular on my exam, and if i see 1 more graph ever???? ugughh!!! :mad but u are doing great and i want nothing but the best for u and for u to get that great score u desrve!!! as for anxiety issues, trust me dear, i was queen of that, but i can say in al honesty doing those nbme's was my best anxiety reliever.. i used to study all the time thining my whole exam was going to be neuro and molecu/cell bio and crazy pharm graphs and stupid crap i didnt know, but then i thought, they can't possibly make the exam like that u know.. they have to test medical related knowledge, dont get me wrong i had some stuff on there that was just straight up anatomy and embryo, for which u FA is the best asset anyways, good job girl, ur almost there... just keep on grinding it out and set the date and let's go for the match in 09!!! let u know how i did (wouldnt it be awful if i fail and im sitting here handing out advice, hmmm)
