Hi friends,
I am on Business visa and I got an offer from an univ to do research.they are sponsoring J1 visa. My present I94 is valid until next month. I would really appreciate if you can tell me which is the better way to convert my visa. Applying for conversion from here itself or going back to home country and applying there.
The International office at the univ said to there is a risk of rejection if I apply from US.So they suggested me to go back to home country and get stamped from the US consulate.
I am sure somebody has gone through this process and I would really appreciate your suggestion regarding that.
