Hi everybody Oasis Just got updated and I got my score
thanks God it is 99/267
my background :
graduated June 2007
began studying mid September, I have a full time job as an Intern at a very busy hospital so i had 3-4 hours to study per day + the weekends
I took the exam on February 6th 2008
I used the following materials :
Physiology : started with kaplan but I shifted to BRS as I found it easier
BRS is fair enough for the exam ...concentrate on the diagrams and learn the major concepts well..the tables give a sheer amount of info and can be revised and crammed quickly ....
Pathology : BRS too ....not that good admittedly ...I relied mainly on my clinical knowledge to answer this part ....I got goljan but had not time for it
Biochemistry,cell and molecular biology : Kaplan ,Fair enough...don't bother yourself with obscure reactions and chemical formulas..focus on the major pathways and the clinical significance of each of them
Microbiology : I used Made Ridiculously simple (MRS)....I read it once but ultimately I relied on the chapter in FA + the tables in MRS
Behavioral science : BRS ...in general many qs can be answered by common sense...the easiest part of the prep and the exam
Embryology : read HY once, but couldn't remember much, I relied mainly on the 8 pages in FA
Anatomy and histology : didn't study any book,I made notes from Q banks explanations + FA
Pharmacology : Kaplan for principles and autonomic drugs,Pharmacards for the rest
Score correlation :
UW timed mode unused qs : 85%
Kaptest (I used the two week free trial) : 78%
didn't do NBME (I ran out of cash )
USMLE CD : 45/45/46 the day before the exam
all in all it is doable,not easy but doable
trust your heart and understand the language of the world : they will always tell you the right answer

btw...first time i am hearing Behavioural as "the easiest part of the prep and the exam" . Cant argue with u though..u have done it.
When did u do UW? and how long did it take....i hv my exam next month and i hvnt done UW yet. Done Kaplan Qbank....can UW be done in 7-8 days?

yeah sure I took exactly 7 days to do UW,but I had no time to read any explanations except those of the wrong items and anatomy/histology/embryology
the exam is doable....dont worry ,,,,be confident thats all ...best of luck

when I got back home I wrote down 335 questions to check my answers ....I think I got around 20 wrong
