I am staying now in the united states but the last day in my visa will be in the middle of december and of course i cant overstay. so i have to finish the interviews if i have any before that. my question is do i have to be existed in the US at the interval between mid december and march? do PDs communicate with candidates via phone only or emails too. thank you

they communicate thru both means of communication that is via phone & also personal email+ via myeras email account so just in case your hotmail/yahoo server is down you can check the myeras & can see the messages there too....once they start contacting you, you can mention it to them that email is the best way to get hold of you & then they'll only email you from there....hope this helps!!

Keep in mind that it may not be possible for u to finish all your interviews by mid December. I have heard of programs sending new interview calls in December and of some other programs being very rigid about the interview dates they offer. If there is anyway u can extend your visa, i'd suggest get the wheels moving right now. even if it means a visit to ur home country in a few months.

hi! in my match/interview experience, my being a medical assistant to a US physician helped a lot, almost all PDs asked me about it.. although it didnt count as formal observership, it still was USCE (US clinical experience)... clinical experience after gradn is very importnt esp for old grads (like me)....for university programs, research experience would be helpful..

Motorola is right! I received a couple of great interviews by middle december and I attended them in January so also take that into account... if I were you I would try to extend my visa but if this is not possible than try to fit all your interviews in the time you have and pray to get them all before mid-december. GL!
