A. +ve anti-double starnded DNA antibody

B. low incidence of renal and CNS involvement

C. +ve anti-smith antibody

D. -ve antihistone antibodies

E. low complement levels

A. Anti-double stranded DNA more prevalent in SLE

B. ?

C. Anti-sm is more likely to be found in SLE

D. Anti-histone ab are found in both

E. SLE has lower complement. Complement in drug induced is usually normal

Anti ssDNA is in drug induced lupus - which really distinguishes it (not a choice here)

Ruled out everything xcept for Choice B - so I'll go with that.

B. low incidence of renal and CNS involvement
Drug-induced lupus is clinically similar to systemic SLE, except that the former patients do not have kidney or central nervous system involvement and they do not demonstrate the multiple types of antinuclear antibodies (ANAs) often found in SLE patients. In patients with drug-induced lupus, antihistone antibodies are usually the only ANAs,although antibodies to denaturated DNA can be detected in a small percentage of patients.

yes right!

yes drug-induced SLE ->presence of anti-single stranded DNA antibodies(80%) and drug most commonly implemented is PROCAINAMIDE.
